my story

Hello my name is Richard Newman and I am a make-up artist. I have been doing make up for the past 5 years and have gotten pretty good at it. I am not at the level I want to be at but I am willing to share my journey with you.

 This picture to the left is my first model I did a full body paint on. Her name is Katerina Schload and she is a wonderful muse. The photographer is my friend Isaac Rush who also owns a make-up company called Nature Source Mineral cosmetics. I have done a lot of make-up for people for no payment so they owed me some favors and so to get the photo shoot to happen I called in a few favors.

My friend Jonathan Martin had asked me to do some make-up on a short film called Ass Pirates From The Grave and no it is not a porn. It's just a really cheesy campy film. He also does some modeling so I knew he had connections to models and photographers. I really wanted to have my first body paint done in a photo shoot. So within the week of my asking him to help me it was set up.

I was super nervous because I had only met Isaac once and only exchanged emails with Katerina. I give all the credit to calming down to Katerina she was so nice and sweet. It also helped that she hangs out at the pajama party every year at the PlayBoy mansion. So 8 hours later in Isaacs kitchen I finished painting and we did the shoot.
